Push Piers & Helical Piers in Knoxville

Steel piering to stop settlement for good. Free inspection, written pricing, lifetime transferable warranty.

When a foundation settles, the soil under the footing has stopped carrying the load. Piers bypass that soil entirely and transfer the weight of the house down to stable strata. Done correctly, the settlement stops permanently.

What you are probably seeing

One corner is dropping

Settlement is rarely uniform. A corner or one wall going down while the rest of the house stays put is the classic case for piering.

Cracks that keep reopening

If a crack has been patched and came back, the movement never stopped. Cosmetic repair on an active foundation is money spent twice.

Gaps opening at the roofline or trim

Separation where a porch, garage, or chimney meets the main structure means the two are settling at different rates.

What we do about it

We install push piers, helical piers, and Atlas Resistance piers. Which one is right depends on your soil, the weight it needs to carry, and how much access there is around the foundation — not on what we happen to stock. The inspection determines that, and it is free.

Push piers

Hydraulically driven steel pipe using the weight of the structure itself as resistance. Good for heavy loads and deep bearing strata.

Helical piers

Screw-in steel shafts torqued to a verified capacity. Good for lighter structures, additions, and sites where you cannot rely on structural weight to drive.

Atlas Resistance piers

An engineered push-pier system with documented load capacity per pier — used where the specification calls for verified numbers.

Lift where the structure allows

Once the piers are carrying the load, many houses can be brought back toward level. We tell you honestly during the inspection how much lift is realistic on yours.

Find out what it will actually cost

Free on-site inspection and a written estimate. No obligation to book the work.

How the free estimate works

1. We call you back

We ask what you are seeing and answer the first round of questions. If it sounds urgent, we say so rather than booking you three weeks out.

2. We come and look

Someone inspects the foundation, the crawl space or basement, and the drainage. There is no charge for the visit.

3. You get it in writing

A written estimate covering what we found, what we recommend, and what it costs. You decide from there.

Common questions

What do push piers cost?

Piering is priced per pier, and the number of piers depends on how much of the foundation has moved and how much load each one has to carry. The free inspection produces a written per-pier count and total for your house.

Push piers or helical piers — which do I need?

Push piers use the weight of the structure to drive, so they suit heavier houses. Helicals are torqued in and do not need structural weight, so they suit lighter structures, additions, and porches. We choose based on your soil and load, and we explain the reasoning in the estimate.

Will piering lift my house back to level?

Sometimes fully, often partially. Attempting maximum lift on a house that has been settled for decades can crack finishes that have long since adjusted. We tell you what is achievable and what we would recommend stopping at.

Does the work damage my landscaping?

We dig by hand rather than bringing in equipment, specifically to limit the damage. Excavation is localized to each pier location.

How long do piers last?

Steel piers bearing on load-bearing strata are a permanent repair, and the warranty is lifetime and transferable.
